...Change is coming 

The government have been advising building owners and those who support them to move on building safety before legislation has caught up…so changes are already needed

“There is no excuse... industry must act now.” - don’t expect to be given much time or leeway.

The whole industry has little time left to create the required “pathways to compliance.” Those who are not ready in time may not have a license to trade/occupy

Moral and corporate social responsibility obligations. How this all sits in the court of public opinion.

Recommendation 8.1 of the Hackett report, stated:

Government should mandate a digital (by defaultstandard of record-keeping for the designconstruction and during the occupation of new high-rise residential buildings (HRBBs).

Recommendation 8.3a of the report stated:

Digital records are to be in a format that is appropriately open and non-proprietary with proportionate security controls.
